Diagnosis
<p>Spleen shows preserved architecture. Sections from the cystic lesion show wide vascular space lined by mature endothelium. Lumens contains eosinophilic amorphous proteinaceous material and cyst wall is thick, fibrotic and hyalinized. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy. </p>
<p>Splenic cyst.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Splenectomy specimen measured 15x6x4 cm. Cut section is hemorrhagic and showing cyst measured 5.5x5x4 cm filled with gelatinous material. Capsule is intact.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Splenic cyst, splenectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Cystic lymphangioma.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
