Diagnosis
<p>Sections of cyst wall showing focal lining by skin with hair follicles, sebaceous glands and sweat glands together with underlying rich adipose tissue. Other areas showing columnar cell lining. Other sections show ulceration of lining with related dense inflammatory infiltration including foreign body giant cells. No evidence of immature elements. Wall of cyst showing cystic follicles. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Dermoid cyst.</p>
<p>Cystic lesion 5x4.5 cm, cut section is unilocular and full of greasy material containing hairs. Ovarian capsule is intact.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Ovarian cystectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Mature (benign) cystic teratoma. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for immature elements.</strong></li></ul>
