Diagnosis
<p>(1) Ovarian cyst is lined by several layers of polygonal luteinized cells with focal interstitial hemorrhage into wall. Wall of cyst showing cystic follicles. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. </p><p>(2) Myometrial tumor is a benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of malignancy. </p>
<p>Uterine mass and ovarian cystic mass.</p>
<p>Two specimens were submitted: </p><p>(1) Ovarian cyst: Cyst measures 4x3 cm, contains hemorrhagic fluid with intact capsule. </p><p>(2) Fibroid measures 5x4.5 cm. </p>
<p><strong><em><u>(1) Ovarian cystectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Hemorrhagic luteal cyst. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em><u>(2) Uterus, myomectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Leiomyoma.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul><p><br></p>
