Fallopian tube shows fragments of degenerated decidua with immature edematous chorionic villi and associated severe interstitial hemorrhage. Bone fragments are identified. No evidence of tumors.
The larger cyst is ovarian cyst is lined by several layers of polygonal luteinized cells with focal interstitial hemorrhage into wall. The smaller cysts show fibrotic cyst wall showing partial lining by polygonal inner theca and outer granulosa cells with mild luteinization of these cells. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.
Ruptured ectopic pregnancy.
Received is an ovarian cyst measuring 4.5 x 3 x 1.7 cm with an attached fallopian tube measuring 3.5 x 1 cm. The specimen shows multiple cysts, the largest of which measures 1.2 cm and is filled with yellowish fluid. Also received are two separate, bloody soft tissue pieces measuring 2.8 x 2.5 x 1.3 cm in aggregate. The tissue has a dark bloody color
