Gastric mucosa showing marked infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells. Many neutrophils are seen infiltrating glands with abscesses formation thus indicating activity. H. pylori characteristic forms are not identified. No evidence of intestinal metaplasia, atypia or malignancy.
Known case ulcerative colitis presented with hematemesis. Endoscopy: the entire gastric mucosa looks edematous and severely hyperemic with diffuse exudations.
Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.7 cm, totally embedded.
