Diagnosis
<p>Smears show unremarkable squamous cells, satisfactory for evaluation with present endocervical / transformation zone components. There is associated moderate inflammatory changes. No evidence of viral, fungal or trichomonal infection. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells.</p>
<p>Chronic cervicitis with cervical erosion.</p>
<p>Three unstained smears were submitted (from endocervix by brushing, by spatula from endocervix and ectocervical smear). All were pap stained.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Pap smear, conventional cytology:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Satisfactory for evaluation.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy (NILM).</strong></li><li><strong>Organisms: None are identified. </strong></li></ul>
