<p class="ql-align-justify">(1&2) Partially ulcerated mucosal fragment with related infiltration by malignant large epithelial cells, arranged in sheets and groups, featuring clear cytoplasm with irregular hyperchromatic nuclei with signet ring cell morphology. Anaplasia and mitosis are moderate to marked. </p>
<p>Gastro-esophageal mass.</p>
<p>Two biopsies were received :</p><p class="ql-align-justify">(1) Gastric biopsy: soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.2 cm, totally embedded.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">(2) Esophageal biopsy: soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.6 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Gastroesophageal mass, endoscopic biopsies from stomach and esophagous:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Poorly cohesive carcinoma, signet ring cell type. </strong></li></ul>
