<p class="ql-align-justify">Advanced thyroid cancer (suspected to be of the medullary type) with tracheal invasion.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Two specimens were received:</p><p class="ql-align-justify">1- Thyroid gland both lobes with isthmus. + Right L.N.: Total thyroidectomy consisting of two thyroid lobes. The first lobe measures 5.5 x 3.3 x 2 cm and is almost entirely occupied by a grayish nodular mass measuring 5 x 3.2 cm. The second lobe measures 3 x 2.3 x 1.5 cm and contains a single grayish nodule measuring 1x 0.8 cm. Additionally, there are multiple separate grayish nodular masses, the largest of which measures 6 x 4x 2.5 cm and shows a grayish cut surface. Seven separate lymph nodes are identified, the largest of which measures 1 cm.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Left cervical L.N.: One fatty soft tissue entangling few lymph nodes largest is 0.8 cm.</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p>
