Sections show a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma composed of infiltrating, irregular glands and cribriform nests characterized by back-to-back growth and intraluminal dirty necrosis. The malignant cells exhibit significant nuclear pleomorphism, hyperchromasia, and frequent mitoses, all set within a dense desmoplastic stroma. Foci of necrosis are noted.
