<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections show 15 lymph nodes, 5 of which contain metastatic deposits of papillary thyroid carcinoma exhibiting characteristic architectural and nuclear features. The metastatic tumor demonstrates capsular invasion with extranodal extension into the surrounding perinodal adipose tissue. The remaining 10 lymph nodes show preserved architecture and are negative for malignancy (5/15 positive).</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Right neck dissection of a patient with papillary thyroid carcinoma.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Multiple pieces of fatty soft tissue measuring 4 x 3 x 1 cm in aggregate. Dissection revealed 15 lymph nodes, with the largest lymph node measuring 1.3 cm in its maximum dimension.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Right neck lymph node dissection:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Metastatic papillary thyroid carcinoma involving five of fifteen (5/15) lymph nodes.</strong></li><li><strong>Positive for capsular invasion and extranodal extension.</strong></li></ul>
