Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Partly encapsulated tumor formed of myxoid stroma with stellate cells and chondroid areas. Periphery of nodules show proliferating ductal and myoepithelial cells arranged in solid groups, small trabeculae and ductal formation. Submitted salivary gland tissue shows moderate sialosis. No evidence of malignancy.</p>
<p>Rt. parotid mass.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Right superficial parotidectomy specimen was received as two parts, one is salivary gland tissue measures 3.5x3x2.3 cm having rubbery cut section, and the other one is capsulated rubbery mass measured 5x3x1.5 cm with soft glistening grayish myxoid areas.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rt. Superficial parotidectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Mixed salivary gland tumor (pleomorphic adenoma). </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><h4><strong><u>Comment:</u></strong></h4><h4>Due to partial encapsulation, local recurrence may occur.</h4>
