<p class="ql-align-justify">Duodenal mucosa show focal moderate villous atrophy associated i<span style="color: rgb(0, 29, 53);">ntraepithelial lymphocytosis and crypt hyperplasia </span>with submucosal mild infiltrate of lymphocytes and plasma cells. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. </p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Patient presenting with bloating and positive TTG IgG antibodies underwent a gastroscopy that revealed mild pangastritis, with duodenal biopsies currently pending to rule out villous atrophy (celiac disease).</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Two soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.5 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Duodenum, endoscopic biopsy:</u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Focal moderate villous atrophy with associated chronic non-specific duodenitis, consistent with celiac disease. </strong></li><li><strong>Modified Marsh-Oberhuber classification, grade 3a (</strong><strong style="color: oklch(0.2642 0.013 93.9); background-color: oklch(0.9798 0.005 78.3);">Corazza & Villanacci </strong><strong>grade B1).</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
