Smears shows unremarkable squamous cells, satisfactory for evaluation with present endocervical / transformation zone components. There is associated moderate inflammatory changes without identified clue cells. Monilial hyphae and spore forms are identified. No evidence of viral or trichomonal infection. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells.
Recurrent cervisitis.
Two unstained smears were submitted, labeled as endocervical canal and posterior vaginal fornix, both were stained with pap.
