A polypoid lesion covered by focally acanthotic non-keratinizing stratified squamous epithelium. Core is fibrotic and vascular and shows fibrinoid degeneration. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy.
The patient presents with hoarseness of voice for one year with no weight loss or dysphagia, and has a short-period smoking history of 5 pack-years. Laryngoscopy revealed polypoidal mass in loving anterior third of left vocal fold.
Soft tissue fragment measured 0.6x0.4 cm, totally embedded.
