A benign tumor formed of proliferating meningothelial cells with focal whorling. Cytoplasm is eosinophilic and abundant and cell borders are ill-defined. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. This is a WHO grade I meningioma
Headaches and scalp swelling associated with a large, calcified left fronto-parietal extra-axial mass (described as an old hematoma or highly vascular abnormal bone growth attached to the dura) and a concurrent mild underlying subdural hematoma causing mild mass effect.
Fragments of collective size 3.8x3x1 cm. Also received two bony fragments collectively measured 13x9x2.3 cm, totally embedded.
Left fronto-parietal extra-axial mass:
