<p>Round cells show:</p><p><strong>CD20 </strong>shows focal positive reaction.</p><p><strong>CD3</strong> shows focal positive reaction.</p><p><strong>CK20</strong> is negative.</p><p><strong>Synaptophysin</strong> is negative.</p><p><strong>SOX-10</strong> is negative.</p><p><strong>SATB-2</strong> is negative.</p><p><strong>p63</strong> is negative</p><p><strong>Ki-67</strong> LI is less than 3%.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Referred paraffin block for immunostaining of anorectal mass.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">One referred paraffin block of previously submitted case number 1511.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rectal mass, endoscopic biopsy, immunostaining:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Exuberant inflammatory process with septic granulation tissue.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy in submitted material.</strong></li><li><strong>Recommended for follow up (see comment).</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>COMMENT:</u></strong></p><p>This pattern of immunostaining is excluding carcinoma, NHL and melanoma in submitted material. Such immunoreaction is rather consistent with an exuberant inflammatory process. Follow up endoscopy to ensure regressive course of these ulcers is essential to ensure the suggested inflammatory nature. If malignancy is still suspected, rebiopsy will be advised.</p>
