<p>Polyp is composed of cystic mucous glands with separating stroma showing dense infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells. There is focal ulceration of covering epithelium. No evidence of malignancy. </p>
<p>Rectal polyp.</p>
<p>Polyp measures 1.2x1 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rectum, endoscopic polypectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Juvenile inflammatory polyp. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
