<p class="ql-align-justify">1&2 Gastric mucosa body and antral types showing focally ulcerated mucosa with mild atrophy of glands and moderate to dense infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells. Lymphocytes aggregate in some foci to form lymphoid follicles with active germinal centers. Neutrophils are seen infiltrating glands thus indicating activity. H. pylori characteristic forms are seen colonizing glands. No evidence of intestinal metaplasia, atypia or malignancy. </p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Antral ulcer and severe erosive pangastropathy.</p>
<p>Two biopsies were received:</p><p class="ql-align-justify">1- Gastric biopsy: soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.6 cm, totally embedded.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Antral ulcer biopsy: soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.6 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>(1) & (2) Stomach (Antrum and Corpus), Endoscopic Biopsies:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>H. pylori-associated chronic follicular gastritis with mild glandular atrophy, active inflammatory ulceration and inflammatory activity. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for atypia and malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
