<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections reveal a fibro-osseous lesion characterized by a moderately cellular fibrocellular stroma composed of spindle-shaped fibroblasts arranged in a haphazard or whorled pattern. Within this stroma, there is a significant amount of mineralized tissue consisting of irregular, anastomosing trabeculae of woven and lamellar bone. Osteoblastic rimming surrounding these bony islands is noted. In several areas, there are small, basophilic, spherical calcifications resembling cementum-like globules. There is no evidence of cellular atypia, pleomorphism, or increased mitotic activity, which supports a benign process.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">A painless fibro-osseous lesion of the maxilla with a duration of one month.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Bone fragments collectively measured 1x0.7x0.3 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Maxillary lesion, incisional biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Cemento-ossifying Fibroma (COF).</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>COMMENT</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Given the patient’s age and the rapid clinical onset of one month, this could also be categorized as a Juvenile Trabecular Ossifying Fibroma, which is a more active variant of the same lesion type found in younger individuals.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Complete curettage of the lesion will be advised as it may recure locally.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p>
