Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Thyroid gland shows nodular hyperplasia where follicles are variable in size, full of thick colloid and lined by mature epithelium. There is gross follicular cystic change with surrounding fibrosis and focal infiltration by hemosiderin-laden histiocytes. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy. </p>
<p>TIRADS III left nodular goiter.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Lt. Hemithyroidectomy, left thyroid lobe measuring 5x3.5x3 cm. Sectioning revealed the lobe is nearly entirely replaced by a large, dominant cystic nodule measuring 4.5x3.3x3 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Lt. Hemithyroidectomy</u></em></strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Nodular colloid hyperplasia with gross cystic change. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
