<p>Review of submitted one Hx & E stained slide revealed an invasive carcinoma formed of irregular groups of large malignant cells exhibiting focal ductal differentiation. Anaplasia and mitosis are marked and stromal fibrosis is mild. areas of necrosis are seen. Tumor is seen infiltrating deep subcutaneous tissue with intact overlying skin. No evidence of lymphovascular or perineural invasion.</p><ul><li><strong>Estrogen receptor</strong> : negative in tumor cells.</li><li><strong>Progesterone receptor</strong> : negative in tumor cells.</li><li><strong>HER2/neu</strong>: negative in tumor cells, score 0.</li><li><strong>Ki-67</strong> labeling index about 30%.</li></ul>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Breast mass.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">One referred paraffin block (1221-2026).</p>
<p><strong><em><u> Left breast mass, excision biopsy, </u></em><u>immunostaining: </u></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Invasive carcinoma of no special type, NST (= Invasive duct carcinoma), grade 3 </strong></li><li><strong>ER & PR Negative. </strong></li><li><strong>HER2/neu negative score 0 </strong></li><li><strong>Ki-67 proliferation index about 30%.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>COMMENT:</u></strong></p><p>For assessment of margins of excision and size of tumor, please refer to original pathology report.</p>
