Smears shows unremarkable squamous cells, satisfactory for evaluation with present endocervical / transformation zone components. There is associated mild inflammatory changes without identified clue cells. Monilial hyphae and spore forms are identified. No evidence of viral or trichomonal infection. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells.
Routine check-up and Pap smear with a chief complaint of prolonged menses.
Two unstained smears labeled as ectocervix transformation zone and endocervix, both were submitted and stained with pap.
