<p class="ql-align-justify">Ileal mucosa showing hyperplasia of the mucosal-associated lymphoid tissue with intervening infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells. Villi are intact and are negative for atrophy and ulceration. No evidence of malignancy. </p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Terminal ileitis, characterized by patches of hyperemia and edema.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Two soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.4 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Terminal ileum, endoscopic biopsy:</u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Mild chronic non-specific ileitis with associated reactive lymphoid hyperplasia.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
