Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">A benign polypoid lesion covered by focally ulcerated non-keratinizing stratified squamous epithelium. Core is fibrotic, vascular and shows focal dense infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. </p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">One-year history of postmenopausal bleeding, underwent a dilation and curettage and cervical polypectomy</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.5x1.3x0.8 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Cervical polypectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Inflamed ectocervical fibroepithelial polyp, with ulceration. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for atypia and malignancy. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for endometrial tissue. </strong></li></ul>
