Gastric mucosal fragments infiltrated by lymphoplasmacytic infiltrates, accompanied by active neutrophilic infiltration of the gastric glands. Helicobacter pylori organisms are identified. The mucosal surface shows focal ulceration with related infiltration by atypical large cells featuring abundant cytoplasm and hyperchromatic nuclei. This cell population is suspicious of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. For confirmation of this possibility and exclusion of other less like possibility of NHL, marker study (CD20, LCA and CK) is recommended.
