Poypoid mass at the pee hepatic flexure, previouly diagnose on biopsy adenocarcinoma grade 2 (pathology number 1702-2026 on 2026-03-18).
Two specimens were received;
1- Right hemicolectomy: including a 10 cm length of terminal ileum, a 5 cm appendix, and a 35 cm segment of cecum and ascending colon. Attached omentum measured 20 x 12 x 1 cm, and the mesenteric fat measured 22 x 5.5 x 2 cm. Opening revealed a solid, firm, creamy-colored mass measuring 3x 2.8 x 2.8 cm. Tumor was located 25 cm from the proximal surgical margin and 14 cm from the distal surgical margin. Dissection of the mesenteric fat yields 22 lymph nodes, the largest measuring 1.5 cm in greatest dimension.
2- Small biopsy taken from the pelvic region: fragment of fatty soft tissue was received, measuring 1.3 x 1 cm, totally embedded.
