Sections of both Rt. Ovarian cysts wall showing focal lining by glandular epithelium, skin with hair follicles, sebaceous glands and sweat glands together with underlying rich adipose tissue and cartilage. Other sections show ulceration of lining with related dense inflammatory infiltration including foreign body giant cells. No evidence of immature elements. Other ovary is unremarkable. Polypoid lesion and endometrium formed of non-secretory hyperplastic endometrium with branching glands exhibiting moderate cystic dilatation with focal crowdness. Glands are lined by 1-3 layers of cells. Stroma is compact with scattered thick walled blood vessels. Islands of these endometrial glands and stroma are seen entrapped deep within myometrium. No evidence of complex pattern. Cervix shows Nabothian cysts. Both fallopian tubes are unremarkable. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.
Rt ovarian mass + postmenopausal bleeding.
Panhysterectomy specimen; uterus measured 8x5x4 cm with a myometrial thickness of 2 cm and an endometrial thickness of 0.5 cm, showing a polyp measured 4x1.3x1 cm. Cervix is 2.5 cm, long. The right ovary measured 4x2.8x2 cm, showing 2 unilocular cysts the largest measured 1.5 cm in greatest dimension contains hair and greasy material with intact capsule. The left ovary measured 2x1.5x1 cm and was grossly unremarkable. The right and left fallopian tubes measured 5 cm and 6 cm in length, respectively, and are grossly unremarkable
