<ul><li><strong>Specimen:</strong> Right kidney and ureter</li><li><strong>Tumor Type:</strong> Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma</li><li><strong>Tumor Size:</strong> Greatest dimension: 9 cm</li><li><strong>Histologic Features:</strong> Tumor shows prominent papillary architecture lined by neoplastic cells with fibrovascular cores containing foamy macrophages and areas of hemorrhage.</li><li><strong>Tumor Extension:</strong> Tumor infiltrates the renal capsule but does not penetrate through it; confined to the kidney.</li><li><strong>Perinephric Fat:</strong> Free of tumor.</li><li><strong>Lymphovascular Invasion (LVI):</strong> Not identified.</li><li><strong>Surgical Margins:</strong> Ureter margin: Free of tumor. Renal pelvis: Free of tumor.</li><li><strong>Pathologic Staging (AJCC 8th Edition):</strong> <strong>pT2a</strong></li></ul>
<p>Rt renal mass.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Rt.radical nephrectomy specimen: kidney measured 12.5 x 11.5 x 6.5 cm with an attached ureteric segment measured 3 cm long, surrounded by perinephric fat of 8 cm thick. Sectioning revealed a solid, firm mass measuring 9 x 6.5 x 6 cm} with a hemorrhagic cut section.</p>
