Microscopic Description
Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Smears showing a mild number of lymphocytes and neutrophils. There are scattered papillary clusters of hyperplastic ductal cells. The main possibility of this lesion is an intraduct papillomatosis or papilloma. Confirmatory excision of the affected duct system is advised.</p>
<p>Breast discharge.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Three unstained smears were submitted and stained with pap.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Nipple discharge, cytology: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Hyperplastic papillary clusters of ductal cells, consistent with duct papillomatosis. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignant cells. </strong></li></ul>
