An infiltrative tumor with focal cystic change. It is formed of nests of proliferating ameloblasts exhibiting peripheral palisading of nuclei and central stellate loose
reticulum. No evidence of malignancy, however this is a locally invasive tumor with liability for local recurrence (which may be delayed) if not adequately excised.
Painful five-months retromandibular swelling and an oval osteolytic lesion causing mobility of the lower left second and impacted third molars.
Soft tissue fragments measuring in aggregate 2.5 x 2.2 x 0.7 cm (with the largest fragment measuring 1.7 x 1.5 x 0.7 cm), with a single extracted tooth measuring 1.3 cm.
