Sections examined from the tubular lesion show focally ulcerated and infarcted small intestinal mucosa with focal lymphoid follicles and attenuated muscle layers. There area areas of interstitial hemorrhage. The attached nodule showing ectopic pancreatic tissue. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.

Tubular structure measuring 4 cm, long. Opening revealed a greyish polypoid mass measured 1.5 x 1.3 x 1 cm, located 1 cm away from one resection margin and 2 cm away from the opposite resection margin.
