Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Polypoid lesion composed of hyperplastic endocervical mucous glands and Nabothian cysts, covered by focally ulcerated columnar endocervical epithelium with related areas of squamous metaplasia. Stroma is fibrotic and vascular and shows focal infiltration by inflammatory cells. Also submitted, fragments of non-secretory endometrium, it is formed of slightly branching glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p>
<p>Cervical polyp.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Two soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.7x1.5x0.8 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Cervix, polypectomy and endometrial biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Inflamed hyperplastic endocervical polyp with Nabothian cysts.</strong></li><li><strong>Mild simple endometrial hyperplasia.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for atypia.</strong> </li></ul>
