Gall bladder wall shows mild to moderate fibrosis with focal mucosal ulceration and moderate infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells that extends into the surrounding soft tissue. Glands exhibit focal cystic dilatation and appear to be entrapped within muscular coat (Rokitansky-Aschoff sinuses). No evidence of atypia or malignancy.

Gallbladder measuring 7 x 2 cm, showing a thickened wall measuring up to 0.3 cm in thickness. The mucosal surface was ulcerated and the lumen was filled with multiple yellow gallstones, the largest of which measured 1.3 cm in maximum dimension.
