A benign tumor formed of proliferating meningothelial cells with focal whorling. Cytoplasm is eosinophilic and abundant and cell borders are ill-defined. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. This is a WHO grade I meningioma
Calcified intensely enhancing extra-axial mass at the left frontotemporal dural base (suggestive of a sphenoid wing meningioma, with lymphoma as a differential), which is causing marked mass effect (compression of the left lateral ventricle and a rightward midline shift) and associated brain edema, with an area of fibrous dysplasia involving the right sphenoid wing.
Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 5.5x5x2 cm, totally embedded.
