Sections examined show appendicular lumens which are full of neutrophils that extend into wall in between the mucosal associated lymphoid tissue together with lymphocytes and plasma cells. The surrounding omental tissue is also involved by the same inflammatory cells with areas of fat necrosis and dystrophic calcifications. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of appendicular tumors.
