Diagnosis
<p>(1) Submitted material is entirely formed of fibroadipose tissue moderately infiltrated by inflammatory cells with areas showing evident fat necrosis and related mild fibrosis. No evidence of pancreatic parenchymatous tissue in submitted material.</p><p>(2) Submttted smear is hemorrhagic and showing degenerative changes due to drying artifacts of bad fixation.</p>
<p>Pancreatic head mass. ? Cancer. Associated abdominal pain.</p>
<p>Two samples were submitted: (1) Fibrofatty tissue fragment measures 1.2x0.8x0.7 cm. (2) One unstained smear was submitted and pap-stained.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Pancreatic head mass, incision biopsy and FNAC:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Non-representative materials, negative for pancreatic tissue.</strong></li><li><strong>Recommended for C.T guided rebiopsy.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>COMMENT:</u></strong></p><h5>Given clinical findings regarding presence of suspicious mass lesion, submitted materials is considered as non-representative and guided rebiopsy from mass lesion is recommended to establish definitive diagnosis.</h5>
