<p class="ql-align-justify">Tonsils show hyperplasia of the mucosal associated lymphoid follicles which retain active and intact germinal centers with tingible body macrophages. Interfollicular and pericyptal areas show infiltration by ymphocytes and plasma cells. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy</p>
<p>Tonsillar enlargement.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue pieces measuring 4.5 x 4 x 1.3 cm in aggregate, with the largest piece measuring 2.7 x 2 x 1.3 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Tonsillectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Reactive lymphoid hyperplasia with associated chronic non-specific inflammation (Chronic tonsillitis). </strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
