Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Polypoid lesion composed of hyperplastic endocervical mucous glands, covered by focally ulcerated columnar endocervical epithelium with related areas of squamous metaplasia. Stroma is fibrotic and vascular and shows focal infiltration by inflammatory cells. No evidence of endometrial tissue . No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Patient with uterine prolpapse. Intraoperative finding of cystocele and rectocele. Uterine-cervix biopsy</p>
<p>Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.5x1.3x0.8 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify"><strong><em><u>Cervical biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Inflamed hyperplastic endocervical polyp with squamous metaplasia.</strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for endometrial tissue. </strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for atypia. </strong></li></ul>
