Gall bladder wall shows moderate to marked fibrosis with focal mucosal ulceration and moderate infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells that extends into the surrounding soft tissue. Glands exhibit focal cystic dilatation and appear to be entrapped within muscular coat (Rokitansky-Aschoff sinuses). No evidence of atypia or malignancy. One lymph node was identified showing reactive follicular lymphoid hyperplasia, free of metastatic deposits.
