<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections show a well-circumscribed nodular lesion composed of variable-sized, colloid-filled thyroid follicles ranging from microfollicles to cystically dilated macrofollicles. The follicles are lined by a single layer of bland cuboidal to flattened epithelium with focal benign hyperplastic papillary infoldings. No nuclear atypia, capsular invasion, or vascular invasion is identified.</p>
<p>Pretracheal nodule.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify"><strong></strong>Soft tissue fragment measured 1.5x0.8x0.7 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Pre-tracheal nodule, excision biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Follicular adenomatoid thyroid nodule.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
