<p class="ql-align-justify">Smears are hemorrhagic and hypocellular show abundant thin colloid and scattered hemosiderin-laden macrophages, lymphocytes. No evidence of follicular cells. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells.</p>
<p>Thyroid nodules. Rt thyroid lobe FNAC.</p>
<p>Nine unstained smears were submitted and stained.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Thyroid nodule, guided FNAC: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Benign cytology.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignant cells. </strong></li><li><strong>Consistent with colloid nodule (Bethesda class II).</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><h4><strong><u>Comment:</u></strong></h4><h4>According to Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytology (BSRTC), for colloid nodule (benign cytology, Bethesda category II), the risk of malignancy is 0-3%, follow up both (Clinically and radiologically) is recommended.</h4>
