Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Endometrium shows hyperplastic endometrial glands, is non-secretory, it is formed of slightly branched glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells.Stroma is cellular.No evidence of complex glandular pattern.Some of the hyperplastic endometrium are seen embedded within superficial myometrium.Myometrial tumors are benign leiomyomas formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of malignancy.Cervix shows Nabothian cysts with mild endocervicitis.Both ovaries shows cystic follicles and corpora albicans. Rt. ovary shows Cyst wall lined by several layers of polygonal luteinized cells with interstitial hemorrhage into wall.Fallopian tubes are unremarkable.No evidence of malignancy.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Bulky uterus with significant endometrial thickening (17mm) suggestive of endometrial hyperplasia, with an 8mm simple right ovarian cyst.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Panhysterectomy: uterus measured 9.5 x7.5x5cm,cervix measuring 2.8cm in length.On sectioning, the myometrial wall thickness measured 2.5cm and the endometrium measured 0.7cm in thickness. The myometrium contained three fibroid masses measuring 1.7 x 1.5 cm,and a separate fibroid mass measuring 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm. Rt. ovary measured 3.2 x 1.7 x 1 cm and Lt. ovary measured 3x1.5x1cm, each containing a unilocular cyst measuring1.5 x1cm. Rt. and Lt. fallopian tubes measured 5 x 0.5 cm,each.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Panhysterectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Moderate simple endometrial hyperplasia, negative for atypia. </strong></li><li><strong>Superficial adenomyosis. </strong></li><li><strong>Leiomyomas. </strong></li><li><strong>Nabothian cysts with mild endocervicitis. </strong></li><li><strong>Rt.ovarian hemorrhagic corpus luteum cyst. </strong></li><li><strong>Rt. and Lt. ovarian corpora albicans and cystic follicles. </strong></li><li><strong>Unremarkable fallopian tubes. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
