Sections from the two larger masses reveal benign, well-encapsulated tumors composed of proliferating breast ducts and stromal fibrocytes. These show a mixed growth pattern: in pericanalicular areas, both components are equally represented, while in other regions, dominant fibroblastic proliferation compresses the ducts into slit-like intracanalicular structures. One lesion also shows marked cystic changes, with dilated ductal spaces lined by preserved bilayered epithelium.
The third mass shows features of fibroadenosis, with benign proliferation of glandular acini and specialized intralobular stroma, without the encapsulation seen in the other masses.
Rt. Breast three masses.
Three well circumscribed rubbery whitish masses collectively measured 6.5x5.5x2.5 cm, the largest measuring 3.5x3x2.5 cm.
