<p class="ql-align-justify">Focally ulcerated colonic mucosa with moderate reduction in the number of mucigenic cells and moderate infiltration by lymphocytes, plasma cells and neutrophils. However, crypt abscesses are not identified. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells in submitted material.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Given clinical findings regarding presence of mass lesion, this biopsy is possibly non-representative and rebiopsy from the mass lesion is recommended to avoid missing of unsampled more serious pathology.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Colonic mass 25 cm from anal verge.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1 cm.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Colonoscopic biopsy:</u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Moderate chronic colitis with moderate inflammatory activity and focal superficial erosions. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for epithelial dysplasia. </strong></li><li><strong>Possibly non-representative, recommended for rebiopsy from mass lesion. </strong></li></ul>
