Liver parenchyma with marked infiltration of portal areas by mature lymphocytes which appear to extend in many microscopic foci to encircle degenerating hepatocytes at periphery of lobules (interface hepatitis/ piece-meal necrosis). Portal areas show moderate fibrosis with evidence of bridging fibrosis (porto-portal & zone III-portal) but no evidence of frank cirrhosis. Many bile ducts showing bile pigments denoting cholestasis. Associated moderate fatty change. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of dysplasia or malignancy.
Guided core biopsy from hepatic focal lesions. ? Metastasis or Lymphoma.
