Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Thyroid gland shows nodular hyperplasia where follicles are variable in size, full of thick colloid and lined by mature epithelium. There is focal follicular cystic change observed in the left lobe sections. Stroma shows fibrosis, interstitial hemorrhage and cholesterol crystals deposition. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy.</p>
<p>Multinodular goiter.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Total thyroidectomy specimen composed of two lobes and an isthmus with an intact capsule. The first lobe measured 5 × 2.2 × 1.8 cm and contained five grayish nodules, largest 7 mm. The second lobe measured 5.5 × 2.5 × 1.8 cm and showed multiple grayish nodules, largest 7 mm, with a 3 × 2.3 cm cystic nodule filled with gelatinous material. The isthmus measured 1.5 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Total thyroidectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Nodular colloid hyperplasia with gross cystic change. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
