Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Endometrium shows hyperplastic endometrial glands, is non-secretory, it is formed of slightly branched glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Some of the hyperplastic endometrium are seen embedded within deep myometrium. Cervix is unremarkable. Both ovaries shows cystic follicles. Fallopian tubes are unremarkable. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Menorrhagia and ultrasound findings of adenomyosis.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Panhysterectomy specimen: The uterus measured 9.5 x 7 x 5 cm, and the cervix measured 3 cm in length. On sectioning, the myometrial wall thickness measured 2.5 cm and the endometrium measured 0.7 cm in thickness. The myometrium showed a myometrial rubbery area measured 1 cm. The right and left ovaries measured 3 x 2 x 1.5 cm and 2.8 x 1.7 x 1 cm respectively, with the right ovary showing a cyst measuring 2 x 1.5 cm. The right and left fallopian tubes measured 5.5 cm in length, each.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Panhysterectomy</u></em></strong>:</h3><ul><li><strong>Mild simple endometrial hyperplasia without atypia </strong></li><li><strong>Deep adenomyosis .</strong></li><li><strong>Bilateral ovarian cystic follicles. </strong></li><li><strong>Cervix and Fallopian tubes are unremarkable.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
