Endometrium is non-secretory and hyperplastic, it is formed of branching glands exhibiting moderate cystic dilatation with lining by 1-3 layers of cells amid cellular stroma. No evidence of complex pattern, atypia or malignancy. Some of these hyperplastic endometrial glands are seen embedded within deep myometrium. Cervix show Napothian cyts with mild endocervicites and related squamous metaplasia. Both ovarian cysts show fibrotic cyst wall with broad and sessile fibrotic projections covered by nonmucigenic low cells. Rest of cyst wall is lined by same type of cells. No evidence of epithelial piling up. No evidence of atypia or malignancy
Bilateral ovarian cysts.
Total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy: The uterus measured 7 x 4 x 3 cm, and the cervix measured 2.5 cm in length. On sectioning, the myometrial wall thickness measured 1.5 cm and the endometrium measured 0.4 cm in thickness. Both ovaries were received separately: One ovary measured 4.5 x 4 x 3.3 cm, almost entirely replaced by a cyst filled with gelatinous material and showing multiple whitish growth areas with the largest measuring 0.7 cm. The other ovary measured 4 x 4 x 3 cm, also almost entirely replaced by a cyst filled with gelatinous material and showing multiple whitish growth areas with the largest measuring 1.2 cm. The attached fallopian tubes measured 5.5 cm and 6 cm in length, respectively.
