Lymph node shows complete loss of the normal nodal pattern and incomplete division into nodules. Nodules are formed of a rather monomorphic population of activated small lymphocytes with scattered histiocytes as well as mono, bi and multinucleated giant cells with popcorn nuclei and small nucleoli. Picture is consistent with lymphoma, possibly Hodgkin's lymphoma. Confirmatory marker study (CD15, CD30, EMA, MUM1, CD20 & CD3 markers) is recommended.
