A mesenteric benign non-capsulated tumor formed of intercommunicating vascular channels separated by incomplete and thick fibrous septa. Some spaces filled with lymph, others are empty and lined by mature endothelium. Stroma showing nodular collections of mature lymphocytes. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.
Small bowel mesenteric cyst containing chylous fluid.
Received designated as "left side bowel wall" was a specimen consisting of a single piece of grey and brown soft tissue, appearing as an opened cyst, measuring 9 x 5.5 x 0.7 cm. Also present were two separate pieces of grey, fatty soft tissue collectively measuring 1.2 cm.
